2018 Ford F-150

<p>The 2018 Ford F-150 is available in six main trim levels, which are XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Outside the traditional lineup, you'll also find the off-road-themed Raptor, which places a high value on performance. You can further customize the six main trim levels with a regular, SuperCab (extended), or SuperCrew cab, as well as a 6-foot-6-inch, 5-foot-6-inch, or 8-foot bed. The exterior of the XL truck includes automatic headlights, 17-inch steel wheels, prewired trailer connections, and trailer sway control. Stepping up to the XLT comes with power side mirrors, chrome exterior trim and bumpers, rear privacy glass, alloy wheels, fog lights, and a keypad entry system.</p> <p>With the Lariat, you'll get a remote ignition, 18-inch wheels, and keyless entry. The King Ranch trim boasts Western-themed details, along with LED headlights and automatic wipers. With the Platinum, features include 20-inch wheels and power-deployable running boards, while the top Limited has unique styling deals and remote tailgate release. </p>

<p>The F-150 is also available with several different engine options. The base model is a new 3.3-liter V-6, which pumps out 265 pound-feet of torque and 290 horsepower. It works with a six-speed automatic transmission. </p> <p>Move up to the next option, which is a 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6 that makes 400 pound-feet of torque and 325 horsepower. Another option is the 5.0-liter V-8 engine, producing 400 pound-feet of torque and 395 horsepower. At the top of the power grade, the 3.5-liter turbocharged V-6 is available in two options. One puts out 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, while the other produces 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. All three of these engine options pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission. </p>

The towing capacity of the 2018 F-150 varies, depending on which model and configuration you choose. At the low end, every truck can tow at least 5,000 pounds. However, with the proper equipment, the capacity tops out at 13,200 pounds. This model also delivers best-in-class payload ratings, making it easier to haul heavy loads. Fuel economy estimates also vary.

<p>The base XL trim level includes vinyl flooring, cloth upholstery, a 4.2-inch central display screen, air conditioning, a driver information display, and a four-speaker sound system with an audio jack. Moving up to the XLT adds a few more comfort and convenience features, like Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone app integration, lumbar adjustments for the front seats, and carpeted floors.</p> <p>With the Lariat, you'll get 10-way power-adjustable, heated, and ventilated front seats; a leather-wrapped steering wheel; Sync 3 with an 8-inch touch screen; dual-zone automatic climate control; leather upholstery; and power-adjustable pedals. The King Ranch adds some Western style inside, while the Platinum has additional wood and aluminum interior trim. The top Limited has nicer leather upholstery, navigation, and an 11-speaker premium Bang & Olufsen audio system.</p>

The standard suite of safety features is on every 2018 F-150. You can also add features like a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning and mitigation, lane departure warning, an automated parallel parking system, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
