2021 Ford Ranger

You can choose your 2021 Ford Ranger in the XL, XLT, or Lariat trim, depending on the level of equipment you want. The Ranger is available with a SuperCab and a 6-foot box, or a roomier SuperCrew cab and a 5-foot box. The XL trim sits on 16-inch wheels and features black steel bumpers, signature daytime running lamps (DRL), four cargo hooks, and a cargo box lamp. Step up to the XLT for body-color bumpers, front towing hooks, fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, power mirrors, and a power-locking tailgate. With the range-topping Lariat, you get LED headlamps, DRL, and fog lamps, along with body-color heated power-folding mirrors with integrated turn indicators and approach lamps.

The Ranger's smooth power is delivered by a 270-horsepower 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine that develops 310 pound-feet of torque. It's paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels or the available four-wheel-drive system.

Depending on your choice of cab and bed, the Ranger has a payload of up to 1,860 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. Four-wheel-drive models offer electronic shift-on-the-fly with 4x4 high and low for tough going, and two-wheel drive for normal driving. The Tremor Off-Road Package adds a Terrain Management System, trail control, FOX dampers, and heavy-duty suspension for go-anywhere capability.

The Ranger XL's well-appointed cab has cloth upholstery, front bucket seats, rear under-seat storage, a 2.3-inch productivity screen, air conditioning, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, three 12-volt power points, and a flow-through center console with a floor shifter. To keep you connected, the XL features the FordPass app and a Wi-Fi hot spot for up to 10 mobile devices. The four-speaker sound system offers Bluetooth pass-thru and a USB smart-charging port. XLT models add cruise control, a 4.2-inch productivity screen, and a 110-volt power outlet. You also get the Sync 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touch-screen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, voice recognition, and six-speaker audio with satellite radio. The Lariat trim has premium features, including leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, ambient lighting, and dual-zone automatic temperature control. Additional technology includes intelligent access, push-button start, dual 4.2-inch productivity screens, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The Ranger's standard Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assist features include electronic stability control, curve control, roll stability control, and trailer sway control. In case of an emergency, you have pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and an SOS post-collision alert system. With the XLT, you also get rear parking sensors, auto high beams, and a blind-spot monitor with cross traffic alert and trailer coverage. Lariat models add a lane-keeping system and front parking sensors. Additional options include adaptive cruise control and rain-sensing wipers.
