Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Ford Transit is a full-size commercial van sold in three main trim levels, as well as two wheelbase options, two body styles, and three roof height options. These trims are Transit 150, Transit 250, and Transit 350. You can also choose between a standard and long wheelbase and low, medium, and high rooflines. The long wheelbase is further customizable with an extended-length body that increases the cargo capacity.

Both pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels, although you can get all-wheel drive as an option.
Performance
The base engine is certainly capable, offering power that supports impressive payloads, which vary based on equipment and configuration. The max comes in at 5,110 pounds. Because most buyers use this van for transporting cargo, tools, or gear, the standard engine typically supports that need. However, if you want a quicker cargo van, the optional turbocharged engine is a worthwhile upgrade. In speed testing, a Transit equipped with that unit went from zero to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds. With the proper equipment, the van can also tow up to 7,500 pounds.
Interior
With seating for two and plenty of customization options, the 2023 Transit is an appealing option for commercial buyers. It's available with bins and racks, as well as factory-installed folding shelves for added storage space. For the driver and passenger, standard comfort features include power accessories, tie-downs in the cargo area, keyless entry, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The van also includes dual USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 4-inch display screen.
