The 2025 Ford Mustang is available in nine trims: EcoBoost Fastback, EcoBoost Premium Fastback, EcoBoost Convertible, EcoBoost Premium Convertible, GT Fastback, GT Premium Fastback, GT Premium Convertible, Dark Horse, and Dark Horse Premium. The base EcoBoost Fastback and Convertible models feature 18-inch Carbonized Gray-painted aluminum wheels, while EcoBoost Premium trims upgrade to 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels. GT models come standard with 19-inch painted aluminum wheels, with GT Premium trims sporting 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with Dark Tarnish-painted pockets. Dark Horse models have 19-inch Dark Tarnish-painted aluminum wheels featuring the Dark Horse logo, an exclusive grille with anodized blue badges, and an aggressive lower front bumper.

All trims incorporate LED headlights with a signature tri-bar DRL design. Convertible models include a power-folding soft top with one-touch operation. GT and Dark Horse trims come equipped with a quad-tip active exhaust system. The Dark Horse models benefit from additional aerodynamic elements, including a front splitter and rear diffuser.

The EcoBoost models feature a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. GT models feature a 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 producing 480 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The Dark Horse models receive an enhanced version of the 5.0-liter V-8, delivering 500 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque through forged internals and an improved cooling system. A 10-speed automatic transmission is available across all trims, while GT and Dark Horse models offer a six-speed manual transmission with rev-matching technology. The V-8-equipped models feature an active valve performance exhaust system. The EcoBoost engine employs a twin-scroll turbocharger, while V-8 models utilize dual throttle bodies for enhanced performance.

The GT models accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, while EcoBoost variants complete the sprint in 5 seconds. Dark Horse models feature an electronic limited-slip differential, with GT trims offering a Performance Package including a Torsen limited-slip differential. The MagneRide active suspension system, standard on Dark Horse and optional on GT Premium trims, continuously adapts to driving conditions. Dark Horse models have Brembo six-piston front brake calipers for enhanced stopping power. All trims include selectable drive modes — Normal, Sport, Slippery, Drag, and Track — allowing drivers to customize vehicle dynamics.
