The new Ford Explorer can seat a total of seven passengers. It also has extra room for cargo in the back and a power-fold back seat that increases cargo space in the back. There’s 18.2 ft.³ of space behind the third row and a total of 87.8 ft.³ of space with the second and third rows folded flat.

3. The Extra Amenities

4. The Engine Power

The new Ford Explorer has a 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine with auto start-stop technology, a 10-speed automatic transmission, 400 hp, and 415 pound-feet of torque. This powerful engine is available on the Platinum, King Ranch, and ST trims. Lower trims feature the 2.3L EcoBoost I4 turbo-charged engine with 300 hp and 310 pound-feet of torque.
