Skiing at Sky Valley Resort

Snowshoeing at Amicalola Falls State Park
If you’re looking for a more laid-back and scenic winter activity, consider snowshoeing at Amicalola Falls State Park. This park is about a 45-minute drive from Dahlonega and will lead you about 1.5 miles into the woods, where you can explore a small waterfall and a beautiful frozen creek.
The trails are open year-round, but snowshoeing is only available during the winter months when the trails are covered in snow. The cost to snowshoe at the park is $3 per person, and you must be at least eight years old and capable of walking on your own power.
