Powertrain and Transmission

All trim levels of this year’s Ranger come with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that provides the perfect blend of power, agility, and smoothness. Some key safety features include automated emergency braking and forward-collision warning. You can also upgrade to get adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring.

Pricing

This year’s Ford Ranger’s basic trim starts off at around $26,000. The two other available trims, the XLT and the Lariat, come in at around $30,000 and $34,000 respectively. You can also choose to add the new off-road Tremor package to the XLT and Lariat trims, which adds around $4,300 to the price for a maximum price of about $39,000.

With other customizations such as the towing package, bed utility package, and a choice between six different appearance packages, you may pay around a maximum of $42,000 for the highest option. We recommend the XLT due to its inclusion of upgraded appearance and technology features at a very reasonable price.
