The Underground Adventure Tour is guided by a knowledgeable staff member who will tell you historic tales of the struggles miners faced in their attempts to uncover gold a century ago. Once the tour is over, you will receive instructions on gold panning and have a chance to give it try for yourself. All paid admissions receive a free gold panning sample, and you get you to keep anything you uncover mining.

Keep in mind this is a walking tour. You will travel 200 feet underground using two ramps and three flights of stairs, and it is suggested you wear suitable closed-toed shoes. No matter what time of year, the mine remains at a cool and comfortable 60 degrees, so dress appropriately. Note that strollers and pets are prohibited. The mine is open 7 days a week all year round (only closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas) and no reservation is necessary.
