The Underground Adventure Tour is guided by a knowledgeable staff member who will tell you historic tales of the struggles miners faced in their attempts to uncover gold a century ago. Once the tour is over, you will receive instructions on gold panning and have a chance to give it try for yourself. All paid admissions receive a free gold panning sample, and you get you to keep anything you uncover mining.
Keep in mind this is a walking tour. You will travel 200 feet underground using two ramps and three flights of stairs, and it is suggested you wear suitable closed-toed shoes. No matter what time of year, the mine remains at a cool and comfortable 60 degrees, so dress appropriately. Note that strollers and pets are prohibited. The mine is open 7 days a week all year round (only closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas) and no reservation is necessary.
Underground Gold Mine Adventure Tour
Admission for children from the ages of 3-12 years costs $12 and the adult price is $18 (plus tax). All children under the age of 2 years get in for free. Each tour is approximately 40-minutes long and includes free gold panning.
Gemstone Mining
A fun experience for the whole family, this activity can accommodate beginners and professionals alike. Search for a variety of gemstones including:

Every adventure includes gold panning, and each paid tour gets a free sampler pan. You will have the chance to find gold and take home a wonderful souvenir after learning everything you need to know from the mining staff.
These instructors are very experienced panners and will teach you their skills through interactive learning. Many of them regularly compete in gold pan competitions and have received several awards, so you know you are learning some pro tips to help you strike it rich.

The cave can accommodate up to 200 people per hour, so groups both large and small are always welcome to show up unannounced for a tour at any time. We also offer group discount packages for large groups of 25 or more that schedule in advance. You may schedule your adventure up to one year ahead of time, but only one week notice is required to be eligible for group rate pricing. Choose from three great packages.
Gemstone Mining
The Underground Gold Mine Adventure together with a gemstone mining experience. All participants will get instructions along with a bucket of gemstone ore, and you keep all the gems you find. This is accommodating to any age and recommended for young students.
Group rate pricing requires a single payment. All children are priced at $9 and adults at $11 (taxes may apply).
Gold Panning
The Underground Gold Mine Adventure together with gold panning. This package is better suited for older participants that can practice patience, as gold panning can take time. Instructions are provided and you keep all your findings.
Groups are again required to make a single payment for qualifying rates. Children are priced at $9 and adults at $11 (taxes may apply).
