Chestatee Ford-The Redesigned 2020 Ford Escape Should Top Your List of Crossovers

Image Via Ford.com Ford is debuting an inviting and more modernized Escape for the new model year. This stylish compact SUV is fun to drive, fuel-efficient, and packed full of the latest technology. If you're shopping for a roomy crossover that can handle family duty, stick around. We're about to reveal why the redesigned 2020 Ford Escape should top your must-drive list of crossovers. more Updated Style and Design Ford's well-rounded, fourth-generation Escape was treated to an updated exterior design for the new model year. It gives this crossover a fresh and sporty appearance and even more interior room. It's longer and wider than the outgoing model, and both the front and rear rows offer more hip and shoulder room. This feeling of spaciousness is enhanced by the lower window sills and a lower roofline. Your Choice of Powertrain For the 2020 Escape's base powertrain, you'll find a new turbocharged 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine under the hood. This new powerhouse can turn off one of its three cylinders when the demand for power is low, vastly increasing efficiency. It's paired up with an eight-speed automatic that replaces the outgoing six-speed transmission. Additional engine options range from powerful and sporty performance to a fuel-sipping hybrid. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine generates 250 horsepower and delivers peppy acceleration. Versatile Interior One of the top reasons to opt for a small SUV instead of a sedan is available cargo space. You'll appreciate a maximum of 65.4 cubic feet of storage room with the rear seats folded down or 33.5 cubic feet of cargo space and seating for five people. Sliding rear seats improve passenger room by providing 6 inches of adjustability and tons more cargo utility thanks to the Escape's sleek, new rear liftgate design. The rear seats now recline, transforming this cozy crossover into a spacious retreat on long drives — even for taller passengers. Ford's high-end SYNC 3 infotainment system includes in-car WiFi and support for a whopping ten devices. Sporty Performance The Escape's nimble handling gives it the feeling of driving a sedan, rather than an SUV. Thanks to its improved suspension, it stays firmly planted around turns and boasts precise steering. It outmaneuvers most rival SUVs and rides smoothly over road imperfections, and can even tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. Innovative Safety Features Its engaging performance comes with loads of standard driver assistance features that are all part of Ford's Co-Pilot 360 suite of technology. You'll appreciate lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and pedestrian detection. There's also rear cross traffic alert, a drowsy driver monitor, automatic emergency braking, and a standard rearview camera. Move up the trim levels and get an even better-equipped 2020 crossover. Add available active safety features like adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and park assist. The all-new Escape is one of Ford's only small passenger vehicles on the lot, and it's loaded with improvements that make it a compelling contender in this competitive segment. Head to your local showroom and discover what all the fuss is about with a test drive.

Teens Love Driving the 2020 Ford Fusion and Parents Love the Features

For teenagers, getting a driver's license means freedom. They can come and go as they please, without having to rely on mom and dad for a ride. It also means lots of worry for their parents. Well, the new Fusion is a great vehicle new drivers, and it has plenty of features mom and dad will love too. Here's a look at some of the best features of the 2020 Ford Fusion. Efficiency Let's face it, teenagers don't exactly have a steady stream of money flowing in. Most are working entry-level jobs for minimum wage, so they can't really afford a lot. Gas is expensive, so finding a fuel efficient car is important. The Fusion fits the bill. It has gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrain to choose from, and all of them provide excellent fuel savings. The gas-only engine gets up to 23 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, so it's an excellent option for those looking for fuel savings. The hybrid version gets up to 43 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway, and the younger generation knows the importance of going green, which the hybrid accomplishes. The plug-in hybrid takes green to the next level. It gets an astounding 109 mpg in the city and 97 mpg on the highway. It also has a total driving range of 610 miles and a range of 26 miles on electric-only power. more Driver-assist Technology The Fusion can be equipped with a suite of driver-assist technologies designed to keep you safer on the road. Parents love them because they know teenagers are new to driving and are often distracted or slow to react because of their inexperience. Every Fusion is equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360, which includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking. This system monitors the road ahead and will alert the driver with visual and audio cues to a potential collision. The system will even apply brake pressure should you fail to react in time. Ford's blind-spot information system alerts you when a vehicle enters your blind spot. The cross-traffic alert system will alert you when a vehicle or pedestrian crosses behind you while in reverse. This is particularly useful in busy parking lots. Smart Technology Standard on the Fusion is Ford's Sync3 technology. Access all your devices through the capacitive touch screen or use simple voice commands. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability allow you to send and receive calls, texts, access music, and more all hands-free. The Fusion can be equipped with FordPass Connect as well. This system turns your Fusion into a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. You can connect up to 10 devices, and it has a range of up to 50 feet. Style Ford's SE Appearance Package for the Fusion comes with great style points, and for teens, image is everything. This package includes 18-inch ebony black-painted wheels, bright chrome trim with black bezels, halogen fog lamps, and a rear spoiler. Teens will love the Fusion for its style, efficiency, and technology, and so will their parents. Come test drive one today, and see which features you and your teen will fall in love with. Tips to Keep Your Mustang's Convertible Top in Great Condition

An engineering marvel that is also easy on the eyes, the sleek Ford Mustang convertible's versatility makes it a fun vehicle for cruising along on open highways. On warm, sunny days, you can put the top down and feel the cool breeze whip through your hair. If the weather turns unfavorable, you can raise the cover for a warm, comfortable ride. With regular use and exposure to climatic elements, however, the convertible top can take a beating. To keep it in prime condition, you must carry out monthly maintenance. Here are a few tips to keep your Mustang 's convertible top in great condition: more Determine Convertible Top Material Your automobile dealer will know if you have a fabric or vinyl top. If they don't, do a spot test by applying a little water to the top surface. A fabric top will absorb the water, but a vinyl top won't. Knowing which material you have will allow you to pick the right cleaner. Use a Vacuum Cleaner and Water Cleaning your convertible top with water once a month will prevent it from getting too unsightly. Parking your Mustang in the shade to avoid direct sunlight, use a vacuum cleaner to dislodge and remove any accumulated dust or dirt from the fabric or vinyl surface. Rinse it away with a water spray. Wipe with a microfiber cloth and let the top dry. Clean With the Right Cleaners If rinsing with water doesn't do the trick, apply a specially formulated fabric or vinyl cleaner evenly all over the entire convertible top. Avoid using household cleaners as they contain harsh chemicals that can damage the convertible top. Also, avoid car wash shampoos, as they have gloss-enhancers that do not affect fabric or vinyl tops. Instead, they get absorbed into the fabric and foster dust accumulation. Use only the right cleaner, and let it sit for a few minutes before washing the foam off with water. If necessary, scrub with a soft-bristled brush to get the dirt out. Pat the top surface with a microfiber cloth to absorb excess moisture. Then let dry. Apply Protectant Fabric and vinyl protectants will protect the convertible top from fading, cracking, and deteriorating. Apply the appropriate protectant only after the newly-washed top has completely dried, and, preferably, indoors to avoid dust accumulation. Shake the protectant bottle, and spray it evenly on the top surface. Ideally, apply three layers. Let each layer dry completely before the next one. Even if you have a brand-new Ford Mustang, it is essential to set up a regular schedule for cleaning the convertible top and applying the protectant. Try to do a cleanup at least once every six to eight weeks. That will help you avoid long-term damage caused by UV radiation and environmental exposure. Then there will be less chance of your top fading and developing cracks. It will also not be prone to leakage. You will be able to enjoy your Ford Mustang convertible for a long time without needing to replace the top. Image via Dealeron

Other available features include a Sony premium stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and 4G LTE connectivity. More Cargo Space You won't have to worry about where you can pack in all your getaway luggage. The 2019 Ford Escape has 34 cubic-feet of cargo space, but you can expand it to 68 cubic-feet by folding down the second seat row. Tips to Keep you Truck Ready to Roll Year-Round

So you've just bought a new truck, and you're wondering how you can keep it in shape so that it lasts you a long time. Luckily there are several things to you can do to keep your truck in great working order. Let's discuss a few truck maintenance tips. Oil Changes A routine oil change is one of the best things you can do for your truck. Your truck's engine needs clean oil to stay lubricated and protected. When the oil gets dusty, dirty, or filled with debris, it can prevent the engine from functioning properly and can even cause serious damage. You should consult your owner's manual to see how often the oil should be changed and what type of oil is best for the engine. You should also make sure that the air filter is changed regularly as clean air is just as important for your truck as clean oil. more Tire Rotation It's a good idea to have your truck's tires rotated whenever you take it in for an oil change. Regular rotation not only helps reduce wear and tear, but it also ensures that the tires wear evenly. When your tires are unevenly worn, it can put an unnecessary burden on your truck's suspension. Plus, even tires make your ride more comfortable. Fluid Checks Motor oil isn't the only fluid your truck needs in order to function properly. You should regularly check the levels for your truck's engine coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid, and windshield wiper fluid. The proper amount of engine coolant keeps your engine from overheating, which can cause engine malfunction and damage. Power steering fluid reduces wear and tear on the system's components, like the power steering pump and rack. While windshield wiper fluid may not seem that important, it's essential to keeping your windshield clean, which actually makes it less susceptible to damage. Brake fluid is responsible for keeping the components of your truck's braking system working properly. Without it, your truck would not be able to stop when you apply the brakes. Regular Inspections Just as it's important for you to go to the doctor for an annual checkup, it's important to take your truck in for regular inspection. During an inspection, everything, from your truck's battery to the spark plugs to the brake pads, is inspected for wear and tear and replaced if necessary. Routine inspections can catch problems before they get worse and end up costing you more money. Regular Cleaning Keeping your truck clean is just as essential as maintenance. Dust and dirt can cause your truck's exterior paint to wear away. If you live in a region where it snows, road salt can cause even more damage. The same is true if you live near the ocean or any other body of salt water. Hopefully, you find these tips to be helpful. By keeping track of your truck's maintenance and staying aware of possible issues, you can enjoy your truck for several years to come and hopefully save some money as well.   Image via Dealeron
